REAR ADMIRAL S MADHUSUDANAN IN (RETD)

Rear Admiral Sailendran Madhusudanan IN (Retd) was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 01 Aug 1978. A mechanical engineer from Annamalai University, holds a master’s in Defence Studies from the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He has also undergone training in Nuclear Biological Chemical, Damage Control, & Fire Fighting and Pneumatic Control System Maintenance in Royal Naval establishments in the UK. The Admiral served in the Indian Navy for 35 years with sea appointments include Aircraft Carriers INS Vikrant & Viraat; Frigates, Udaygiri, Krishna and Ganga; and Tanker Deepak. In addition to having served onboard warships, he was associated with shipbuilding overseeing the construction of the Godavari Class Frigates, modernisation of INS Viraatvat the Royal Naval Dockyard at Devonport , Plymouth, England and the Warship Production Superintendent the conversion of HACC Admiral Gorshkov into the INS Vikramaditya, currently the Flag Ship of the Indian Navy.
