Is there an online logistics course at Laurus? Why we teach in person

Quick answer: No. Laurus Institute does not run an online logistics course at present. The PG Diploma and Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management are taught in person at North Kalamassery, Kochi, because the parts that get students hired – hands-on SAP MM in the lab, practice inside the group’s own logistics operations, the internship and on-campus placement drives – do not work through a screen. If daily travel is the problem, many students from other districts stay near the campus during the course. Call 0484 4023484 or WhatsApp us.

This page is for students and working people in Kerala searching for an online logistics course.

What a classroom course gives you that a screen cannot

Logistics is a job of documents, systems and people. In the classroom you sit at an SAP terminal and raise purchase orders and goods receipts yourself, handle real shipments inside the group’s own logistics operations, go on industrial visits to ports and warehouses, and face mock interviews with a trainer who tells you what went wrong. Placement drives happen on campus, and the employers who come to them meet the batch in person. That is how the 4,000+ students placed since 2011 got their first jobs.

Why online certificates rarely get interviews

Hiring managers at Kochi’s freight forwarders, customs brokers and port-side companies ask two questions: who certified you, and can you actually work SAP. An online certificate from an unknown provider answers neither. Laurus certificates come from Medhavi Skills University, NSDC and the STED Council, plus a separate certificate for the SAP MM training done in the lab – and the employer can call the institute to check.

If you cannot attend every day

  • Distance: students from Kannur, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Palakkad stay in hostels or PG accommodation near the campus during the course and go home at weekends.
  • A job or another course: batches start several times a year (in 2026: January, June and September, with the next planned for early November). Pick the batch that starts after your current commitment ends rather than doing two things badly. See doing logistics alongside CMA, ACCA or a degree.
  • Not sure yet: book a short Zoom with a counsellor, or take the free psychometric test first.

What the course covers
