Laurus Institute › Logistics course guides › Can you do a logistics course alongside CMA, ACCA or a degree?
Quick answer: Yes, and many Laurus students do. A commerce or accounting qualification plus a one-year logistics PG Diploma with SAP MM is a strong pairing: freight, port and supply-chain companies in Kochi need people who understand costing and documents and how goods actually move. Finish what you started; plan the logistics year to begin when it ends, or run the two side by side if your schedule allows. Fees and batch dates are quoted on enquiry: call 0484 4023484 or WhatsApp us.
This page is for students in Kerala who are part-way through CMA, ACCA, CA Inter, Tally, a distance degree or a final year and are wondering whether logistics is “another course” or the one that gets them hired.
CMA, ACCA, CA Inter and Tally teach you to count money. Logistics teaches you where the money goes: freight costs, customs duty, inventory holding, procurement, vendor terms. The combination is exactly what import–export houses, manufacturers and 3PLs look for in a procurement or supply chain role, and SAP MM, the module taught hands-on in the Laurus lab, is the system those companies use for purchasing and inventory. Students who finish an accounting course and then a logistics diploma are not changing direction; they are adding the operations half to the finance half.
The Laurus course is taught in person only – the SAP MM lab, the internship and the placement drives happen on campus.
Final-year students can be counselled and admitted now and join on completion; distance-degree students often take the classroom logistics course while completing the degree, since the degree is the part that gets you promoted later and the logistics year is the part that gets you hired. See logistics courses after a degree and the course after B.Com.
Certificates come from Medhavi Skills University, NSDC and the STED Council, plus a separate SAP MM certificate. Placement support leads to freight forwarding operations, documentation executive, customs clearance assistant, logistics coordinator, dispatch coordinator, supply chain analyst and inside sales coordinator; Laurus has placed 4,000+ students since 2011 through 400+ direct company tie-ups. It offers placement support; it does not promise a job with any employer.
If the course you are in is the career you want, finish it and do not add anything. If you chose it because it was available and you are not sure where it leads, take the free psychometric test at Laurus: ten minutes, a personal report, and a session with Dr. Ajay Sanker to settle the direction before you spend another year. Book it on 0484 4023484 or WhatsApp.
